It all started in early spring of 2004 with a cargo van and an ad of Craig's List. We called ourselves A+M Moving Service, and billed ourselves, occasionally, as the Walk-up Kings. Most of our work was in Manhattan. Through a combination of hard work, friendly, reliable service, and competitive rates, we grew, added trucks to our fleet, and began the sometimes hit-or-miss process of hiring movers.
Like many small moving companies in New York City, we were reinventing the wheel when we got started. But with a business plan, a dedicated crew and a cadre of happy customers, we've grown into a full-service, licensed and insured moving company.

Moving
We partner with you, from step one, to plan, prepare and customize your relocation. When Moving Day arrives, you're confident that our professional team will arrive on time and prepared. Every move is unique, and we consider each and every move differently, keeping locations, dates, times and factors such as stairs or elevators in mind when customizing your moving strategy. moving We help you meet any challenge, from advance planning advice to last-minute moves. The following services are all part of our residential moving support:- SCHEDULING - Our courteous Booking Agent will schedule and price your move via telephone, email, fax or in person. Onsite estimates are always available.
- CONFIRMATION - We will call and confirm your moving plan by phone in advance, checking off all the items and services listed in your inventory letter.
- PACKING + PREPARATION - Our crew will arrive to pack your items, wrap and pack your furniture, art and electronics, and accomplish any needed crafting or disassembly. When required, we even provide special crates for plasma TV's and wooden crates for wine.
- MOVING DAY - On your moving day we will deliver all material necessary for the preparation and protection of your furniture. Complimentary materials include protection for couches, mattresses, lamps, electronics, mirrors/ and pictures, plus wardrobe boxes. We come prepared to ensure every piece of your furniture is packaged appropriately.
Storage
Whether you need storage for a single item or a lifetime of belongings, for a few days or indefinitely, we can offer safe, affordable solutions at our climate controlled facility.
Located in Red Hook, Brooklyn, the facility is equipped with 24-hour surveillance to ensure the security of your valuables. The temperature controlled environment is ideal for storing sensitive items, from photographic negatives to clothing and furniture.
We offer flat rates for short term storage, and affordable monthly rates for our long term customers. We'll work with you to make sure you get the most affordable rate and best service.
